Dan DiTrapani
After many years of having the racing itch, Dan got a
chance to get on track in 2004 by taking a Skip Barber class
down at Laguna Seca, Monterey as a gift from his wife (who
has probably regretted that since!) That was all it took to
sink the racing hook deep for Dan and he was off!

Dan joined SCCA in 2005 and crewed for Douglas Johnson
and his Spec Racer Ford. Dan took the car through the
SCCA Driver's School in 2006. Dan showed his capabilities
in the School, driving all the way through the mixed field in a
driving rain to finish 2nd overall (even though the students
aren't supposed to really race....yeah right!).
Since getting his license Dan has continued to get faster and perform incredibly well in the events
he competes in. His lap times are exceptional for being a relative 'rookie' in the class, and his
heads up driving skills have earned him the respect and confidence of his fellow competitors. Dan
has yet to have a race shunt or to not finish a race. A testimony to his skills and patience, given
the strong race results he has achieved whenever he gets into the car.
